Transportation Options

Keep in mind that traffic on I-70 can be very heavy during peak times, especially during ski season. Peaks times are from Denver to Summit County on Fridays from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Summit County to Denver on Sundays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. If you are catching a plane, it is important to allow plenty of travel time on Sunday afternoons, especially if it is snowing.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has a great website and app showing traffic travel times and conditions. Click here for a link to their site: http://www.cotrip.org/home.htm

While not as convenient, it is possible to fly into Denver International Airport (DIA) and travel around Summit County using only public transportation.

The free Summit Stage connects all of Summit County and the ski resorts. There is a bus stop right at the corner of Lake Cliffe condos. Click here for a link to the Summit Stage website. http://www.co.summit.co.us/

There are several companies that provide shuttle service from DIA to Summit County. They offer a door-door service or a less expensive option of drop off at key Summit County locations.
